Press briefing of Cabinet Decision taken on 2012-08-15

40th International Pepper Conference - 30th October to 02nd November 2012 - Colombo

- the International Pepper Conference has been established under the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for the Asia Pacific. Brazil, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Vietnam which are the major Pepper producers comprise the permanent membership of this conference at present. Hon. Reginald Cooray, Minister of Minor Export Crop Promotion, informed the Cabinet of Ministers that arrangements have been made to organize the above Conference, in collaboration with Indonesia.
