Remedial measures for unfavourable situations caused by Dry Climatic Conditions

- the proposal made by Hon. D.M. Jayaratne, the Prime Minister, for the appointment of a Ministerial Committee to be assisted by an Officials' Committee, to carry out a feasibility study on the small scale water resources available for the implementation of a project to generate power and to use for cultivation purposes and domestic consumption; and to provide an opportunity with the required facilities, for interested parties to implement this project with the necessary approvals of the relevant authorities, was approved by the Cabinet.
