Commencement of a Housing Project at Ampara area for the Government Servants

- the proposal made by Hon. Wimal Weerawansa, Minister of Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities, to launch a programme for the construction of 100 houses for the government servants of the District of Ampara, in a block of land about 10 acres in extent, at Nawagampura, situated close to the Ampara town, under the Deyata Kirula Development Programme 2013, was approved by the Cabinet. Since State Lands are allocated to the National Housing Development Authority free of charge for Housing Development Projects, the proposed houses after construction are to be allocated to the recipients on the basis of non-recovery of the value of the land.
