Allocation of Land Blocks to set up Industries in Regional Industrial Estates

- 25 Industrial Estates have been established by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and most of the land blocks within the said Industrial Estates have been allocated to potential investors. Over 294 Industrial Units are now in commercial operation and 48 are under construction. The proposal made by Hon. Rishad Bathiudeen, Minister of Industry and Commerce to allocate blocks of land to 4 investors indicated in the Memorandum, on conditions stipulated, was approved by the Cabinet.
