Constituting the Sri Lanka Television Training Institute as a State - Owned Limited Liability Company

- it has been observed that this institution could be utilized to produce professional journalists with knowledge, experience and practical skills, not only in the field of television, but also in the field of Mass Media in general. The present television training is to be further expanded so as to develop the institution as a Media Training Institute which covers the entire mass media. The proposal made by Hon. Keheliya Rambukwella, Minister of Mass Media and Information, to establish this institution as a State Owned Limited Liability Company under the name ?Sri Lanka Media Training Institute?, was approved by the Cabinet.
