Economic Development Co-operation Fund - Improvements to Padeniya - Anuradhapura Road (80.75 Km) - variations to civil works contract and the Consultancy Services Contract

- the government has obtained a loan of US$55.0 million from the Export - Import Bank of Korea towards the cost of improvements to the above road. The proposal made by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Ports and Highways, to revise the contract prices of civil works and consultancy services, on the recommendations of the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, due to the changes in the scope of work, was approved by the Cabinet.
