Nomination of ancient places of worship, Buddhist Temples, Hindu Kovils and Ports and Forts in the Northern and Eastern Provinces of Sri Lanka as a cluster of World Heritage Sites

- the proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Jagath Balasooriya, Minister of National Heritage, to forward a proposal to the World Heritage Centre of UNESCO, was considered by the Cabinet and it was decided that an Officials' Committee consisting of representatives of the relevant Institutions should be appointed to go into this matter and make recommendations to the Cabinet.
