Implementation of the combined development work-plan to improve the housing programme in the Divisional Secretariat Division of Weli-Oya

- people living in the Grama Niladhari Divisions in the Divisional Secretariat Division of Weli-Oya were badly affected due to terrorist activities which prevailed in the region during the last three decades. The joint proposal made by Hon. Nimal Siripala de Silva, Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Management; Hon. Wimal Weerawansa, Minister of Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities, and Hon. M.H. Gunaratne Weerakoon, Minister of Resettlement, to provide housing facilities to 500 families in the region with the assistance of the above three Ministries, was approved by the Cabinet.
