Holding the International Conference titled "Environment Revolution" as a new Asian approach for the current environmental crisis

- it is envisaged that this conference will help to raise the image of Sri Lanka in the international arena and also assist in enhancing activities relating to tourism. It is expected that a total of 400 persons from other countries would participate in this Conference, as Representatives, Resource Persons and Observers. The cost of the Conference is approximately Rs.25 million, of which Rs.10 million will be borne by international participants. The proposal made by Hon. Anura Priyadharshana Yapa, Minister of Environment, to proceed with matters in connection with the holding of this Conference in Sri Lanka in 2012, for this year, was approved by the Cabinet.
