Proposed Memorandum of Understanding in the field of Labour and Training between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of Sri Lanka
- about 25,000 Sri Lankans are employed in the Sultanate of Oman at present, of which 55% are female workers. The proposed Memorandum of Understanding will be of immense benefit to Sri Lanka to protect the rights and ensure welfare of Sri Lankan migrant workers employed in Oman. The proposal made by Hon. Dilan Perera, Minister of Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare, to sign the above Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Oman, was approved by the Cabinet.
