Exposition of Sacred Kapilawasthu Relics
- His Excellency the Prime Minister of India has agreed to a request made by His Excellency the President of Sri Lanka to send the Most Sacred Kapilawasthu Relics to Sri Lanka to provide an opportunity for Sri Lankan Buddhist devotees to pay homage during the period of commemoration of the Sambuddhathwa Jayanthi 2600. Accordingly, the Ministry of Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs together with the Presidential Secretariat, the Ministry of External Affairs and the High Commission of India have made arrangements for the exposition of the Sacred Relics from 20th August to 5th September 2012. The exposition will be conducted at the following venues:

* Manelwattha Viharaya, Kelaniya - August 20th - 22nd
* Sri Sumangala Pirivena, Wariyapola - August 23rd, 24th
* Sri Sambuddhathwa Jayanthi Viharaya, Anuradhapura. - August 25th, 26th
* Agrabodhi Viharaya, Kantale - August 27th, 28th
* Sambuddhathwa Jayanthi Viharaya, Gampola - August 29th, 30th
* Rajamaha Viharaya, Pelmadulla - August 31st, Sep. 01st
* Kotikagoda Rajamaha Viharaya, Matara - September 02nd - 04th
