Testing of Smoke Emission of Vehicles

- it has been found necessary to examine the programme presently implemented for testing smoke emission of vehicles, with the view to identifying any shortcomings and improvements to be done in keeping with the present and future requirements of the country. The proposal made by Hon. Kumara Welgama, Minister of Transport, for the appointment of a Cabinet Sub-Committee for making necessary recommendations for the purpose, was approved by the Cabinet.
