Proposal to set up an Intravenous Solution (IV) Manufacturing Plant in Sri Lanka

- Intravenous Solution (IV) plays a major role in providing healthcare services to needy patients of Sri Lanka, specially during natural disasters and the current requirement of this solution in the country is around 11 million units. The proposal made by Hon. Maithripala Sirisena, Minister of Health, to appoint a Cabinet Appointed Technical Evaluation Committee to prepare technical and all other specifications and to invite expressions of interest for the purpose etc., was approved by the Cabinet.
