Touching Your Future' Competition on Skills & Innovations and Educational Exhibition - 2012

- the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Skills Development intends to hold a competition on skills and innovations and an Educational Exhibition under the above at the BMICH, Colombo, during the period from 6th to 8th November 2012, in collaboration with the Ministry of Technology and Research. Three major activities have been identified under this programme:

* skills competition - this is open for the students of both public and private sector vocational training providers which will be held at District and National levels in selected subject areas;
* competition on selection of the best innovation in the Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector in identified trade areas at National level; and
* educational exhibition in the TVET sector.

The proposal made by Hon. Dullas Alahapperuma, Minister of Youth Affairs and Skills Development, to proceed with the project, was approved by the Cabinet.
