Nano Science Park

- NANCO (Pvt) Limited (now SLINTEC Pvt Limited) has been established with 77% government shares and the balance 23% by five industry partners under Public Private Partnership with the objective of engaging in activities relating to Nano Science Research and Promotion by establishing the Nano Science Park. The Park is to be constructed on a 50 acre property at Mahenawatte, Pitipana, Homagama. The construction of the Park will be in 3 stages and phase 1a is to cost Rs.695 million to be met with Government funds. The proposal made by Hon. (Mrs.) Pavithra Wanniarachchi, Minister of Technology and Research, to proceed with the project, was approved by the Cabinet.
