Agence Francaise De Developpment (AFD) Funded Trincomalee Integrated Infrastructure Project

- the Government of Sri Lanka has received 2 credit facilities from AFD towards the cost of Trincomalee Integrated Infrastructure Project. The scope of work under the above project includes the following :

* National Highways
Batticaloa -Tirikkondiadimadu - Trincomalee Road (A15) - 99 km.
Allai - Kantale Road (B10) - 41 km.

* Provincial Roads
Mavadichchenai - Kaddaiparichchan Road (12km.)

* Major Bridges
Ralkuli Bridge
Upparu Bridge
Gangei Bridge
Kayenkerni Bridge
Verugal Bridge

the proposal made by H.E. The President, in his capacity as the Minister of Ports and Highways, for the revision of the cost of the contract up to Rs.11,217,000,000.00, as recommended by the Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, due to variations in the scope of the work, was approved by the Cabinet.
