Purchase of Prefabricated Buildings for Government Agencies from People's Republic of China

- construction of prefabricated buildings has been found effective in achieving time targets of development activities of the government, in that these could be constructed within a very short period of time. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Nimal Siripala de Silva, Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Management, on the recommendation of the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, to authorize the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB) to purchase prefabricated buildings for distribution among government agencies as needed by them, was approved by the Cabinet.
