Asian Development Bank Funded National Highways Sector Project - Approval for variation to the contract for the rehabilitation and upgrading of the Road Section from Puttalam to Nochchiyagama on Puttalam - Traincomalee Road (A12)

- the proposal made by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Ports and Highways, to include the following road sections having a total length of 13.5 Km, to the ongoing above contract and to revise the contract price accordingly, was approved by the Cabinet:

* 2.6 km in Puttalam Town on Puttalam - Trincomalee Road
* 6.5 km up to the Clock Tower in Anuradhapura Town on Puttalam - Trincomalee Road
* 1 km from Lion Pillar Junction up to Market Junction in Anuradhapura Town on Puttalam - Trincomalee Road
* Section of road from 79.6 km to 83.0 km with a length of 3.40 km on Puttalam - Trincomalee Road
