Annual Report of the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA) for the Year 2010

- during the year under review, apart from the normal training programmes conducted by SLIDA, a novel programme has been initiated with the view to develop capacities of officers of Class III of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service (SLAS). The objective of the new programme was to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes of the young officers to render better service to the public, while taking the development initiatives of the government to the periphery. Further, in collaboration with the Commonwealth Secretariat and with the assistance of the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Administrative Staff College of India, a special leadership development programme for senior officers in the Public Service was also conducted by SLIDA. The above Annual Report submitted by Hon. W.D.J. Seneviratne, Minister of Public Administration and Home Affairs, was approved to be presented in Parliament.
