Submission of the Annual Report and Accounts for the year 2009 of Paddy Marketing Board to the Parliament

- during the year under review the Paddy Marketing Board had purchased 57,469 MT of paddy from farmers throughout the Island and was able to generate Rs.150 million as profit from this operation. The Board was also able to maintain a buffer stock of 180,000 MT of paddy. The above Annual Report submitted by Hon. Johnston Fernando, Minister of Cooperatives and Internal Trade, was approved for presentation in Parliament.
