Rehabilitation of National Highways with concrete surfacing through domestic contractors - Approval to Implement the proposal submitted by M/S Nawaloka Construction Company(Pvt) Ltd. for the rehabilitation of Galigamuwa - Ruwanwella - Karawanella Road from 0 to 29.21 km

- Cabinet approval has already been granted to rehabilitate 662.04 km. of roads by the Road Development Authority through domestic contractors by obtaining the required funds amounting to around US $500 million from local Banks. The above is one such road approved for rehabilitation under this programme. The proposal made by H.E. the President in his capacity as the Minister of Ports and Highways, to award the contract of the above at the negotiated sum of Rs.2,472,357,070.33 was approved by the Cabinet.
