Press briefing of Cabinet Decision taken on 2011-12-07

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the Establishment of a High Joint Committee between the Government of the State of Qatar and the Government of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka

- the proposal made by Hon. (Prof.) G.L. Peiris, Minister of External Affairs, to sign the above Agreement between the State of Qatar and the Government of Sri Lanka, to strengthen bi-lateral relations in the economic, commercial, cultural, scientific, technical, education and information sectors and to develop trade, investment and tourism between the two countries, was approved by the Cabinet. The MoU will be signed during the visit of the Hon. Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the State of Qatar to Sri Lanka from 12th to 13th December 2011.
