Annual Report of the Agricultural and Agrarian Insurance Board for the year 2010

- during the year under review, attention was paid by the Board to popularize the Social Security Schemes such as the Farmers' Pension and Social Security Benefits Scheme and the Fishermen's Social Security Benefits Scheme, both operating under this Board. The Board was also successful in earning its highest income during the year. Special training programmes were held during the year for the officers of the Board in the Northern and Eastern Provinces, where the Board's Insurance Schemes had remained inactive for a long time due to the conflict situation, but have now been revived. The above Annual Report submitted by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Finance and Planning, was approved for presentation in Parliament.
