Construction of Building Complex for the University of Vocational Technology

- Cabinet approval has already been granted to construct a Learning Resource Development Centre in the premises of the University of Vocational Technology at a cost of Rs.17.9 million. In addition to the above, the proposal made by Hon. Dallas Alahapperuma, Minister of Youth Affairs and Skills Development to construct a four storied classroom complex for this University at a cost of Rs.342 million and to entrust the construction work to the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB), which is a government concern, was approved by the Cabinet. Initial work of the project will be commenced with funds available for 2011, and the balance work with funds from 2012 to 2014.
