Annual Report and Accounts of the Sri Lanka Social Security Board for the year 2010
- By the end of the year 2010 the number enrolled for Pension and Social Security Benefit Scheme stood at 400,047. Those in self employment, employees of the private sector, business enterprises, foreign employment and Ayurvedic Medical Practitioners and Physicians and Arts and Craftsmen could enter this scheme. Membership could be obtained through Grama Niladhari officers, Samurdhi Development Officers, Divisional Secretariats, District Secretariats and the Sri Lanka Social Security Board Head office. Members are entitled to a monthly pension, partial and complete incapacitation benefits as well as death donations. Those between the age of 18-59 are entitled to obtain membership of these pension schemes. The above Annual Report presented by H.E. the President, in his capacity as Minister of Finance and Planning, was approved for presentation in Parliament.
