Proposed Madola Water Extension of Avissawella Water Supply Scheme Approval for the Cost Estimate

- the objective of this project is to provide safe drinking water to the people in Madola Grama Niladhari Division in the Kegalle District about 5 km. away from Avissawella Town. The expected population to be served in the area is around 4500. The proposal made by Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena, Minister of Water Supply and Drainage, to implement this project with funds to be provided under the Medium Term Budgetary Framework 2013 - 2015 at an estimated cost of Rs.80.86 million, was approved by the Cabinet. A sum of Rs.33 billion is to be provided for Capital Expenditure of Water Supply and Drainage Projects under the Budget estimates for 2012.
