Economic Development on Upgrading Internal Roads of Katunayake Export Processing Zone and Biyagama Export Processing Zone

- the export possessing zones at Katunayake and Biyagama have a total of 146 enterprises in operation and have generated around 64,000 employment opportunities. These two zones have a network of roads of 9.0 km. and 8.0 km. and the proposal made by Hon. Basil Rajapaksa, Minister of Economic Development, to upgrade these internal roads and to award the contract by the BOI to the Sri Lanka Land Reclamation and Development Corporation, was approved by the Cabinet.
