Handling the Consultancy of Preparatory Works of National Roads as a Variation to Existing Consultancy for Provincial Roads

- feasibility studies and detailed engineering design work of 400 km of Provincial Roads in Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu Districts have been undertaken at an approximate cost of Rs.140 million. Under this project, it is expected to complete all necessary studies on 10 roads sections of 120 km of National Highways in the North and North Central Provinces which are proposed to be improved under the Asian Development Bank funding. The proposal made by Hon. A.L.M. Athaullah, Minister of Local Government and Provincial Councils to revise the total cost estimate of the consultancy contract to 334 million, was approved by the Cabinet.
