Progress on Paddy Purchasing Programme in 2011 Yala Season

- Cabinet noted the progress of the programme of purchasing paddy in the Yala Season 2011, presented by Hon. Johnston Fernando, Minister of Co-operatives and Internal Trade, giving the following details totaling to 73,447 MT. as at 27.09.2011:

* Polonnaruwa Zone - 29,336 MT
* Wayamba Zone - 5651 MT
* Ampara Zone - 17,370 MT
* Anuradhapura Zone - 9307 MT
* Southern Zone - 5295 MT
* Northern Zone - 709 MT
* Eastern Zone . - 5779 MT
