Progress on Paddy Purchasing Programme in 2011 Yala Season

- Cabinet noted the progress of the programme of purchasing paddy in the Yala Season 2011, presented by Hon. Johnston Fernando, Minister of Co-operatives and Internal Trade, giving the following details totaling to 50,445 MT. as at 14.09.2011:

* Polonnaruwa Zone - 21,366 MT
* Wayamba Zone - 3726 MT
* Ampara Zone - 10,171 MT
* Anuradhapura Zone - 6383 MT
* Southern Zone - 4757 MT
* Northern Zone - 221 MT
* Eastern Zone - 3820 MT
