Post Office Networking Project

- the project initiated with Cabinet approval, with a view to providing an efficient and reliable postal service through amalgamating its network of 648 Post Offices throughout the Island is being successfully implemented. The General Treasury initially provided Rs.300 million for the project. On a proposal made by Hon. Jeevan Kumaratunga, Minister of Postal Services, approval was granted to provide an additional allocation of Rs.348.8 million for the successful completion of the project.
