The project for Supply, Installation, Testing and Commission of High Capacity Generators (1000/500 KVA) to selected Hospitals in Sri Lanka under Austrian Assistance

- the proposal made by Hon. Maithripala Sirisena, Minister of Health, to provide high capacity generators, under Austrian Assistance, to 16 identified hospitals for the purpose of maintaining essential services during power failures, was approved by the Cabinet. Some of the main hospitals benefited are Colombo South Teaching Hospital, Colombo North Teaching Hospital, National Cancer Institute, Maharagama, Karawanella Base Hospital, Kalutara District Hospital, Kandy Teaching Hospital, Karapitiya Teaching Hospital, Hambantota District Hospital, Tangalle Base Hospital, Ratnapura General Hospital, Embilipitiya Base Hospital, Batticaloa Teaching Hospital, Moneragala District Hospital, Polonnaruwa District Hospital and Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital.
