Progress on Paddy Purchasing Programme in 2011 Yala Season

- Cabinet noted the progress of the programme of purchasing paddy in the Yala Season 2011, presented by Hon. Johnston Fernando, Minister of Co-operatives and Internal Trade, giving the following details totaling to 31,863 MT. as at 07.09.2011:

* Polonnaruwa Zone - 12,982 MT
* Wayamba Zone - 2059 MT
* Ampara Zone - 5715 MT
* Anuradhapura Zone - 4143 MT
* Southern Zone - 4330 MT
* Northern Zone - 105 MT
* Eastern Zone - 2528 MT
