Annual Reports of the State Timber Corporation for the years 2008 and 2009

- the Corporation has increased its income from Rs.3141 million to Rs.3581 million, the gross profit from Rs.1210 million to Rs.1351 million and the net profit from Rs.647 million to Rs.810 million, in 2009. It contributed Rs.1635 million to the National Income in 2009. With the view to protect natural resources for the benefit of the future generation, the Corporation has instituted an island-wide tree planting programme to promote developing the forest cover in the country. The above report submitted by Hon. Anura Priyadharshana Yapa, Minister of Environment, was approved by the Cabinet for presentation in Parliament.
