Financial Assistance Scheme for the Industrial Machinery and Equipments Manufacturer's of the Minor Export Crop Sector

- Sri Lanka has exported 43000 MT. of export agriculture crops in 2010. The Ministry of Minor Export Crop Promotion intends to double the volume of exports during the next five years through the promotion of minor export crop cultivation, production and its sales. The proposal made by Hon. Reginald Cooray, Minister of Minor Export Crop Promotion, to implement a project focused on empowering the small and medium scale machinery and equipment manufactures to produce proper tools for the minor export crop sectors through a concessionary loan scheme administered by Banks, was approved by the Cabinet.
