Implementation of water supply facilities for Deyata Kirula National Development Programme & Exhibition, 2012

- this programme is to be held in Oyamaduwa area, in Mahavilachchiya, Anuradhapura. A land area of about 500 acres belonging to the National Livestock Development Board is to be used for the exhibition. The proposal made by Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena, Minister of Water Supply and Drainage for the development of water supply facilities in and around the Deyata Kirula Exhibition area and in all Divisional Secretariats in Anuradhapura District as well, at a cost of Rs.830 million to be expended during 2011 and 2012, was approved by the Cabinet. This project will provide safe drinking water to 6100 families in the area.
