Project Proposals for the year 2011/2012

- the proposal made by Hon. S.B. Dissanayake, Minister of Higher Education, to implement the following projects pertaining to the Universities of Peradeniya, Kelaniya and Colombo, was approved by the Cabinet:

* proposed Clinical Research and Services Laboratory, Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya - this will be a 2 storied building costing Rs.50.8 million;
* proposed Gymnasium, University of Kelaniya - this will include an Indoor Sports Centre and the total cost is Rs.50 million; and,
* construction of the 4th floor to the University of Colombo School of Computing Building Complex - the cost of the project is Rs.57 million.
