Development of Horana Town as a Model Town

- the main objective of this programme is to assist local bodies to acquire the basic requirements to render their services to the public in an effective and efficient manner. The proposal made by Hon. A.L.M.Athaullah, Minister of Local Government and Provincial Councils, to renovate the old Court Complex to house the Urban Council at the request of the newly elected Urban Council, utilizing funds under the expenditure votes of the Ministry, was approved by the Cabinet.
