Appointment of a Cabinet Sub-Committee on Power and Energy and Supply and Distribution of Petroleum Products

- Cabinet of Ministers decided to appoint a Cabinet Sub-Committee on Power and Energy and Supply and Distribution of Petroleum Products to oversea importation and distribution of petroleum products for all purposes, including power generation, comprising of the following Ministers:

* Hon. A.H.M. Fowzie, Minister (Senior) for Urban Affairs;
* Hon. Susil Premajayantha, Minister of Petroleum Industries;
* Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, Minister of Power and Energy;
* Hon. W.D.J. Seneviratne, Minister of Public Administration and Home Affairs; and
* Hon. Dilan Perera, Minister of Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare.

Secretary, Ministry of Power and Energy will function as the Secretary to this Sub-Committee. Secretary to the Ministry of Finance and Planning, Co-Chief Executive Officer of the Secretariat for Senior Ministers and the Secretary to the Ministry of Petroleum Industries should attend the Meetings of this Sub-Committee.
