TV and Radio Broadcasting Rights of International Cricket Matches played in Sri Lanka and Abroad

? presently, television and radio broadcasting of International Cricket matches played in Sri Lanka and Abroad are exclusively awarded to the State Media Institutions. The proposal made by the Hon. Keheliya Rambukwella, Minister of Mass Media and Information to consider awarding broadcasting of such matches to private television/radio channels which are exclusively dedicated to sports, on negotiated terms, was approved by the Cabinet.
