Improvements to Polonnaruwa General Hospital

- the proposal made by Hon. Maithripala Sirisena, Minister of Health, to make the following improvements to the Polonnaruwa General Hospital, was approved by the Cabinet:

* construction of a four storied Ward Complex - Rs.416.94 million.
* construction of a three storied building
for the Laboratory - Rs.36.43 million
* extension of quarters for Senior House Officers - Rs.12.17 million.
* extension and renovation of Senior
Nurses' Quarters - Rs.26.89 million
* renovation of quarters of Male Nurses - Rs.10.32 million

The construction work will be entrusted to the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau which is a government concern.
