Financial Assistance from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the implementation of National Highway Sector Project (Additional Financing)

- the Asian Development Bank is to provide US$ 85 million (approximately Rs.10 billion) for the rehabilitation of 62 km. of National Highways Road Sections. The Government contribution to the investment would be US$ 20.60 million the following link roads to the Southern Express way are to be developed under this project:

* Matara-Akuressa Road - 3.40 Km.
* Hikkaduwa-Baddegama Road - 14.34 Km.
* Horana-Anguluwatota-Aluthgama Road - 3.48 Km.
* Katukurunda-Neboda Road - 2.72 Km.
* Kirulapone-Godagama Road - 5.33 Km.
* Colombo-Horana Road - 12.70 Km.
