The Project for the Compilation of Glossaries of Technical Terms English - Sinhala and English-Tamil

- language is important for building of national unity among the people in the country which is the need of the day. The transfer of technical terms in English which is recognized as a link language, into a uniform set of technical terms in Sinhala and Tamil will facilitate the improvement of the language skills of the people. Since there is a heavy demand for these glossaries at the moment, the proposal made by Hon. Wasudeva Nanayakkara, Minister of National Languages and Social Integration, to appoint a consultative panel to complete the work of these glossaries within a period of two years from 2011, was approved by the Cabinet.
