Purchase of Plant and Machinery from China for the Ministry of Economic Development

- improvements to Provincial Road Network is a felt need in the light of development activities currently underway throughout the country. The proposal made by Hon. Basil Rajapaksa, Minister of Economic Development, on the recommendation of the Standing Cabinet appointed Review Committee, to purchase Plant and Machinery required for road construction works from M/s. China National Aero - Technology Import and Export Corporation, for a sum of US $115,853,892.69, was approved by the Cabinet.
