Rehabilitation of Priority Roads with Financial Assistance from the Local Banks Dambulla - Habarana Road Section of the Ambepussa-Kurunegala-Trincomalee (A6) road by the M/s International Construction Consortium (Pvt.) Ltd. (ICC)

- the road section from Habarana to Kantale (44 km.) of the Ambepussa-Kurunegala-Trincomalee (A6) road has been recently rehabilitated with funds received from the Asian Development Bank. The World Bank too has agreed to provide financial assistance for the rehabilitation of 134 km. of the road sections from Ambepussa to Dambulla (91 km.) and Kantale to Trincomalee (43 km.). The proposal made by H.E. the President to rehabilitate the remaining road section from Dambulla to Habarana (21.5 km.) with funds to be provided by local Banks, was approved by the Cabinet. The project cost is Rs.1,534 million.
