Granting subsidy to usage of plastic crates to minimize the post harvest losses of vegetables and fruits

- in keeping with the previous Cabinet decision to popularize the use of plastic crates for the transport of vegetables and fruits from outstations, on a proposal made by Hon. Johnston Fernando, Minister of Co-operatives and Internal Trade, Cabinet decided to grant a subsidy in a sum of rupees 100 million for phase 1 of the project, to purchase plastic crates.
