Sri Lanka?s Humanitarian Efforts

- the Presidential Task Force for Resettlement, Development and Security in the Northern Province has compiled a comprehensive document describing Sri Lanka's humanitarian efforts pertaining to the recently concluded humanitarian measures in May 2009. The report provides a synopsis of activities undertaken by the Government of Sri Lanka in the Northern Province with the participation of several bilateral and multilateral donor agencies and the active involvement of the United Nations' Resident Representative and the Resident Missions of UN Agencies. Cabinet noted the contents in this report submitted by Hon. Basil Rajapaksa, Minister of Economic Development.
