Implementation of Greater Dambulla Water Supply Scheme - Stage I - Award of Contract to M/s Va Tech Wabag Limited, India

- this project will safe drinking water to the people living in 200 Grama Niladhari Divisions in the following areas :

* Dambulla * Part of Kekirawa
* Part of Naula * Palugaswewa
* Galewela * Sigiriya
* Part of Palagolla * Habarana

On a proposal made by Hon.Dinesh Gunawardane, Minister of Water Supply and Drainage, Cabinet approval was granted to award the contract as recommended by the Cabinet Appointed Negotiating Committee and to direct the Department of External Resources to seek foreign funding for the purpose.
