Construction of a Two Storied Building for Divisional Secretariat, Nochchiyagama

- this is the largest Divisional Secretariat in the District serving a population of around 60,000 and consists of 39 Grama Niladhari Divisions. With the view to provide better facilities to the people in the area, the proposal made by Hon. W.D.J. Seneviratne, Minister of Public Administration and Home Affairs, to construct a new building for the Divisional Secretariat at Nochchiyagama at a cost of Rs.22.5 million, utilizing funds through the Budgetary Provisions in 2012 and 2013, was approved by the Cabinet.
