Construction of Building Complex for the University of Visual and Performing Arts at Albert Crescent, Colombo 07 - Revision of Total Cost Estimate

- the student intake of the University from the year 2013 has been increased up to 500 and in keeping with this increase it has been decided to increase the number of floors to be constructed from 4 to 8. Accordingly, on a proposal made by Hon. S.B. Dissanayake, Minister of Higher Education, Cabinet approval was granted to increase the total cost estimate from Rs.300 million to Rs.870 million and complete the construction work within four years commencing from 2011, utilizing funds through the Medium Term Budgetary Framework.
